Mudjacking vs polyjacking

Mudjacking and polyjacking are both methods of raising and leveling sunken or uneven concrete slabs. The main difference between the two is the material used. Mudjacking uses a mixture of soil, clay, and water, which is injected under the slab using a pump. The mixture then hardens and lifts the slab back to its autentic position.

Polyjacking, on the other hand, uses a two-part, expanding polyurethane foam mixture. The foam mixture is injected into the voids beneath the slab and hardens, lifting the slab back to its original position.

Polyjacking has several advantages over mudjacking. It is less invasive and can be completed in a shorter amount of time. Additionally, polyurethane foam has the ability to fill voids and stabilize the soil, potentially preventing future settling. Polyurethane foam also has a higher lift capacity and can lift the slab more effectively than mudjacking. However, polyjacking is more expensive than mudjacking.
